24 October 2016 - Meiringen airport

And here I am still here, faithful to pilgrimage, at least annually, It brings me to this paradise of spotter: The Meiringen.

Whoever follows me will have already got to see, During the years, On several occasions, I went, alone or in company, in this incredible (for Italic standards) airport. Surrounded by mountains and meadows populated by cows grazing, crossed by municipal roads open to civilian traffic, virtually no fence and, paraphrasing James Bond, with license free photography, the journey to Meiringen can rarely leave empty memory cards. Just once, in 2012, We risked strong but, at the end, we saved (see which) more than decent.
Even this time, the risk was high: the thick fog on the premises in the morning he blasted the early morning take-offs. Fortunately its dissolution, at about 10.30, It allowed the normal course of the rest of the day.

In the end nothing that. I “soliti” F 18 Hornet with the white cross on a red background, taking off you spewing flames from the after-burners 50 meters, They have made the usual maneuvers: takeoffs with activated AB, landings, rullaggi, interspersed with some PC 9 and, late afternoon, from landing of an F 5 lonely. All this, however, in the midst of a breathtaking autumn scenery, with the colors of the foliage which varied, from red, brown, to yellow, orange, passing by all the nuances.

At the end of the day, after 17:30, the noise of the setting in motion of the GE F404 coming from the hangar in cave, It heralded the beginning of the night take-offs the first of which took place, duly, to 17:45 about. Unfortunately the time was already advanced and the almost total darkness but something, for mere exercise in documentation, I managed to do.

To you photos
