9 April 2022 – Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP-LIMC)
The second release of the 2022 at Malpensa with friends from Clipper, unlike the first, it happened with a decidedly more inviting sky.
The meeting point this year is moved to the arrivals floor of the intercontinental airport of the Lombard heath e, after the usual entry procedures, we end up with the COBUS available to take us to our destination today, as often happens, it will be the shed dedicated to de-icing equipment.
Let's not forget the possibility that we are offered to drop by the small freighters present. The big ones we will have the opportunity to photograph them as they parade in front of us to go to take-off.
As we move towards our destination we stop to canonize a decidedly unusual subject: a C 17 of the Kuwait Air Force stopped on the ramp.
Today, as already mentioned, the sky is particularly clear and the air is so clear as to allow almost unlimited visibility. The downside is a very strong fresh wind, with gusts reaching, in some cases, the 80 km/h, and that shake the cameras that, with long lenses, they make a non-negligible sail effect. But the indomitable spotters do not lose heart and, undaunted, they continue to photograph everything that passes in front of them.
The day, started at 08:30, ends around 14:30, with the change of 2 A 380 Emirates, one landing, immediately followed by its similar taking off.
Definitely a positive day, with some gems but still enlivened by a truly incomparable sky and background.
