16 October 2016 – Milano Malpensa Airport

Is another opportunity to photograph the liners Malpensa it was offered last 16 October. L’evento, once again organized by Clipper (The link to their website can be found at the top, in the page link), it is, however, done starting from 18, allowing you to take pictures of airplanes in the dark.
It was the first time that it appeared to me this situation and I must say that the problems are manifold: low light with consequent very long exposure times, that do not accord with the movement of subjects and inability to raise too the ISO to avoid excessive noise in the images, with which there are the main collides. The solutions are different: Using a tripod in order to lengthen at will the times, at the same time avoiding the use of high ISO numbers, It is definitely the main.
Another problem is the color of the light, dominated by the yellow of the lamps of lighthouses. In this case, shooting in RAW mode allows during post production correction of the ruling. In some cases, however, the maintenance of the latter gives, in my opinion, un fascino”notturno” che ha un suo perché.

The evening event we then had the good fortune to witness the rise of the moon just in front of us, with the opportunity to photograph the aircraft with the unusual background. Clearly the time to photograph was short and, unfortunately, any interesting subject has intervened between our machines and the lunar disk. But something we managed to do.

The most interesting topic of the evening was the new Boeing '787 Ethiopian operating the flight of 21.15 destination with Addis Ababa but also the Airbus' 380 Emirates has had a huge amount of photographs at least equal to its greatness.
Noteworthy is the parking lot of the '737-800 Ryanair's right next to the pitch hosting us, with the need to mount the camera on 10-18 that, at some time, He has however shown the rope to the extreme closeness of the subject.

Finally the newcomer Malpensa, l’Airbus A 350 TAM that, unfortunately, It did not stop for a moment (if not for the setting in motion after the push-back), preventing us made immortalize.

Overall an interesting evening, with the ability to learn new techniques and always very interesting subjects

Desidero anche in questo caso ringraziare l’Associazione Italiana Amici dell’Aviazione “Clipper” per l’organizzazione dell’evento.
